Rice Growing. Not sure which country this one is but I know they grow rice. Notice the flooded fields in and around the homes. Sure looks different than the farms where I live.

This park surveillance camera has really good clarity in some spots.

The next 2 pics are just a girl I zoomed in on who was reading and playing with her dog.
You can see how far I was able to zoom. I actually have some screenshots a lot farther away and then a couple of her head but the clarity is not real good.

A lot of people out swimming and walking. A family picnic and a guy playing with his daughter.

This camera would go all over. All of these pics are from the same camera. I did have to wait because there was someone else using it and they kept screwing up what I was trying too do. SOmetimes it pays just too watch if someone else is operating the controls because they may be reall familar with the camera and know where to aim it and focus it for the best shots. My guy was just an idiot. I have many more pics from surveillance camera but I will publish more in the future.

New York City. This surveillance camera is designed to keep an eye on the parking garage. Good in theory yet I am able to zoom in on some of the residental areas and peek in a few windows. It works a lot better during the day.

Obviously the clarity is not the best when we zoom that far but the camera is wide open to abuse. In the next pic we can see a guy in his kitchen. He appeared to be mopping the floor and doing dishes.

I will revisit here sometime during the day time and get some good pics for you. What should the limits on Surveillance cameras be. Would you want someone watching you in your kitchen over the internet without your knowledge?

Tokyo Rainbow Bridge

So named for its changing colored lights in the evening, the Rainbow Bridge connects the Tokyo waterfront with Odaiba, the Odaiba area of reclaimed land in Tokyo Bay.The bridge carries eight lanes of vehicular traffic, two sets of rails for the Yurikamome Line, and, best for the visitor, a pedestrian walkway (no bicycles, however).

At night this bridge looks beautiful. On the surveillance camera though it just looks pooey.

Hers some pics of the bridge at night and you will see the beauty of it. I'll make it to Tokyo one day. The following are not surveillance camera footage.

Number 4 is my favorite.

California Polytechnic State University Hanger Cam,

This one is locate at http://hangercam.me.calpoly.edu/ViewerFrame?Mode=Motion&Language=0

It appears to be open to the public. This camera does not allow you too zoom but it gives you a good general idea of what some of the camera controls are. Some of the cameras have advanced controls enabled. Those are Sweeeeeet!

I was hoping the guys would do something funny like a nose picking or ass grabbing or anything slightly embarassing but nope. Their professors would be proud of their professional conduct.

I'm assuming this guy put up this surveillance camera in his backyard to keep an eye on his kids playing. But what he don't realize is anyone can access his surveillance camera from the web.

Not only can we watch the family barbecues but when the blinds are open we can see whats going on in the house.

We can also see into his neighbors backyard. Would you want
a complete stranger watching your family over the internet?

Is your surveillance camera secure? Are you sure?

Maybe your neighbor has one set up and people can watch into your backyard also. How well do you know your neighbors?

Surveillance Camera in an electronics store.

I don't know where this store is but with a bit of research I could find it. The owner had a good idea to install surveillance cams however he screwed this one up.

If a person wanted to they could get control of his surveillance camera thru a simple google search and point it at a wall or anywhere they wanted to. Meanwhile they could insure their partner who is in the store would not ever be on camera.

I am sure they have other security measures in addition to their surveillance camera but as easy as the surveillance camera was to overtake I am sure the other security measures good be overcome by an average thief.

In the pic to the right we see the security guard who has stopped a
person and appeared to check him out as a possible shoplifter. The guy was eventually allowed to leave.

If we had a person on the inside with an ear bud attached to his cell phone I could of let him know that at this exact moment the security guard was pre-occupied and all of the store clerks were with customers.
All we have to do is come up with a way to beat the internal security system. You know the beepers that go off when you leave Wal-Mart because they forgot to deactivate the little alarm sticker attached to your product.

Depending on the type of security tag it can be easily compromised. We know where all the people in the store are and what they are doing. More importantly we know that they are not watching our guy on the inside so he is free to manipulate merchandise as needed in. I feel confident that we could easily take out some merchandise out of this store with out being caught or even raising any suspicious signs.

Advanced Light Source

I'm currently looking at the surveillance camera at the inside of Advanced Light Source lab. Their web address is http://www.als.lbl.gov/

I am not going to post the hidden url of their surveillance camera for security reasons. I don't know exactly what they do their and I don't want sensitive information being passed on.

The website states The Advanced Light Source (ALS), a division of Berkeley Lab, is a national user facility that generates intense light for scientific and technological research. As one of the world's brightest sources of ultraviolet and soft x-ray beams--and the world's first third-generation synchrotron light source in its energy range--the ALS makes previously impossible studies possible. The facility welcomes researchers from universities, industries, and government laboratories around the world...

Yeah guys thats cool. I guess they can burn stuff with bright violet lasers. The first pic is of the status of I believe A Turbomolecular Pump. I did some research. I found a brand name on one of the machines and googled it.

Varian INC has all kind of high tech gadgetry for rocket scientists. I spent my only year in college drunk and stoned so I'm not sure what most of it is. I seen on one part of the machine it said Turbo V70 turbo and then I looked that up on the Varian site and thats how I learned it's probably a Turboolecular Pump.

So if anyone is looking to buy a Turbomolecular Pump I guess we know where too look. Too bad they don't have an affiliate program. ;)

When you pan too the camera to the right you get a view of thier lab. Notice the radiation sign. Working around radiation is what these guys went too college for. We make fun of the lab suit scientists guys but I think they actually have a cool job. Not a job for me but still a cool job.

Thers another radiation sign and then a "No Admittance" sign.

I never would of got a chance too see this place in person but this is close enough for me with the radiation signs and all.

Any one know what a 350 Vac controller is? Leave a comment if you do. That 35 Vac Controller was flashing numbers. Just curious. I guess I'll just google that later.

Be safe...Be Secure...and don't do anything nasty in front of a surveillance camera!

Travel-Spy is my blog about my hobby. I look at security cameras around the world. I am not a hacker. I simply use search engines and some search secrets too locate surveillance cameras and am able to view them.

I use to work at a store that had a surveillance camera. The owner was able to sit on his butt at home and watch our every movement if he chose too. I think he was just looking at my female co-workers but I can not prove that. ;)

The purpose of my blog is too share some of my visits. Since I can not afford to travel I choose to use surveillance cameras to tour the world.

I have seen China, Japan, and multiple other countries.

I have seen a shoplifter in a grocery store in Japan. I visited the inside of coffee shops, welding shops, car dealers, grocery stores, homes, colleges, town squares, and countless other places.

What I will strive to provide on this blog is an informing and at toimes amusing look at the world thru the eyes of a surveillance camera.

I may provide the link to view it yourself depending on the sensitivity of the site. I will post screenshots of some of the cool and interesting things I see. The links to the surveillance cameras may not be permanent. If the surveillance camera is of a public place such as a park I do not worry about it but when I run into a surveillance camera that could have sensitive or damaging information for the owner I will attempt to contact the owner too pass on my information so he or she may be made aware of the situation.

You may have a surveillance camera that is accesible from your computer. If you do you should also be made aware that it could be available to the general public from a simple query on a search engine .

Most of the survillance cameras are operable. This means that I can zoom in or out, pan the camera around in either direction, brighten or lighten the video and also I am able to adjust the focus.

If I post a link to a surveillance camera and you have more than one user trying to operate the surveillance camera then it will not function properly. The reason for this is say...Joe is trying to pan the camera left, and Bob is online trying to pan the camera too the right and Mary is trying to zoom in. The video image simply jumps around too all of these functions and renders actually viewing the video to be fruitless.

The reason for this is most of the cameras are "private" which means that only the owner should have access in theory.

For this reason I will not always post a link to a surveillance camera. I will tend to only post surveillance cameras of public areas. If a bank manager needs to be keeping an eye on the bank vault from home I don't want a reader of this blog to render his ability to keep his bank secure nulled.

Sit back and relax...I will start posting regulary some of my surveillance cam travels.
